Waterband CD/DVD Release Show at Musica in Akron on Friday, November 7th

Greetings BSUT Friends!

Hope all is well in your world!

Everytime Waterband plays a show in Akron I reminisce on my time spent on Brown St. with The Underground Family where we played our first show oh so many years ago... I'd love to see ya all!

But, donating to a good cause and playing your music on a stage that you may not have ever gotten a chance to play otherwise, is cool. I am not confused at all by it. I see it as bad precedent to have bands pay for a chance to play, anywhere for any reason. The future takes strange twists and turns at times, some far beyond what the initiator of events may imagine.

In the end the event is yours. You can run it anyway you like, and I wish you, your band and your event the greatest success. That I disagree with the method does not mean I disparage the people or the cause involved.

We came up with this "open mike lottery" for a few reasons...

* Waterfest IS A Benefit! (100% of all money raised after expenses will go towards our goal of getting clean water to people who desparately need it)

*We thought we might be able to gerenate a tiny little bit of money for the cause before Waterfest.

*We thought it would be cool to try and expose random artists some who might never would have gotten the chance to play at a great venue like Nelson Ledges Quarry Park.

*We also thought it would be cool for the audience at Waterfest to be involved in picking the winner of such a contest for an actual spot at another event to be held @ Nelson Ledges.
