This isn't the announcement.
A lot of you seem to be having trouble finding the place. I was in Canton today on union business and drove by the park. it is an urban park about the size of Tuscora Park in Barberton with lots of trees and several nice shelters. "The O'Jays" is a renamed stretch of Mahoning Road NE. To get there from Akron you can get on 12th Street heading East off 1-77 at Mercy Medical Center, but 12th Street is very slow. You might be better off picking up Mahoning Rd from 4th S…

My sources tell me that the po-po are heavy this weekend near NLQP.
This is all based on rumors and hearsay, so take it as you will.
Seems someone bought something from the park (or from the state park, unclear) and went home, took it and died. An investigation commenced. I hear they brought in dogs this week, and that the grab-bag guy was arrested. I also hear that there will be a major undercover presence and even cars driving through (as well as increased stops in the areas outside the gate…

Hopefully, the Rock and Roll induction in Cleveland will
help put money into the pockets of waitresses, waiters, some
downtown businesses and panhandlers.
Millions and millions of public dollars have gone into for
most private organization and for its mostly private parties

Really paying attention to the cows this year.
Early in the day, yesterday, they were hollerin'.
(and I have not heard them in a while so that was unusual)
But last night, nuthin'.
No big rifle shots,
no Fireworks either.
I just guess Everyone is
as Happy as I am
For 2008 to be over.
Haven't seen a worser year since 96

if I think about it long enough

A Solstice Poem
Moon-clad bells
of silver shine.
Nanna curtsey's,
then declines.
Chiming the time
as they ring
Ra arises
from slumbering.
Northern winds frozen,
and southern warmth,
as Earth awaits
spring rains' warmth.
Hearts grow gladdened
by friends' embrace.
Hopeful wonder
'pon a child's face.
Well wishes blossom
'neath friendly cheer.
Thoughts may turn
toward those not near.
Finding comfort in
memories requiem
while still enjoying
present times.
For seasons change
and birth anew

REINTARNATION: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.
